Greenshoots Christmas Performance

Today the children performed their Christmas nativity play entitled ‘A King is Born’. We performed the traditional story with Mary and Joseph going to Bethlehem to be told by the inn keeper that they was no room at the inn! We had twinkling stars in the sky, sparkly angels spreading the word about the birth of Jesus, stripy shepherds minding their sheep on the hill and lovely furry animals in the stable!

After the play the children sang some lovely Christmas songs to all the parents and grandparents that had joined us to watch. We wished everyone a ‘Merry Christmas’ and then we all had some refreshments. The children had a special Christmas gingerbread biscuit and a drink of juice. The grown ups had a yummy mince pie and a hot drink.

An enjoyable morning was had by all and everyone was very proud of the Greenshoots children who did a brilliant job with their acting and singing. Thank you to all who came to support us and for your wonderful effort with the children’s costumes.
