Today we had our fun EASTER event. The children and their parents had made some lovely Easter bonnets at home. The children took part in the Easter bonnet parade where they had the chance to show off their bonnets to our audience.
We then sang a range of songs which included Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick Chicken, Hot Cross Buns, 5 Little Ducks, Peter Rabbit and Mary had a Little Lamb. Our favourite song was Sleeping Rabbits where we got the chance to
jump up and down like rabbits on the stage!
Next we had time for a little snack and a drink. We ate some rabbit biscuits and hot cross buns which were yummy! We also had some juice and milk and tea and coffee for the grown ups. After refreshments we headed out onto the playground for the Easter egg hunt. The children had to find the paper egg with their name on it. It was great fun having members of our families joining in and all having fun together. Once we had found our egg we exchanged it for a little Easter treat.
Over all the morning was enjoyed by all and there were smiles all around. We have also been making some Easter cards and Easter baskets within the Pre-school. We made some yummy chocolate nests with mini eggs on top which we were able to take home.
