Today the 39 of the Greenshoots children, 26 parents / grandparents and 6 members of the pre-school staff visited Dartmoor Zoo near Sparkwell.
We travelled to and from the zoo on a very big coach, which the children really enjoyed! Many of them asking when we were going to go on the bus again! The children had a lovely time exploring the zoo and looking at the animals. We saw lots of interesting animals such as a lion, a tiger, a bear, wolves, owls, meekats, otters, ostriches, goats and many more! We listened to a talk about meerkats and enjoyed watching them being fed.
The trip was fully funded by the Laira Green Trust and the Laira Greenshoots Community Forum. Therefore we would like to say a big thank you for a lovely day!
