THE TRUSTEES.
Miss Daisy Bailey: Chair of Laira Green Trust
I am a founding member of Laira Green Trust and along with other Trustees set the vision for Greenshoots, which was to establish a pre school to reflect the needs of the community.
I am also Headteacher at Laira Green Primary School and am therefore fully committed to Laira Green Trust’s original vision to give the best possible education to our pre school and primary school children.
Emma Lynch: Secretary
I am mum to three children who all attend Laira Green Primary School. My youngest also went to Greenshoots pre-school. For the last four years I have been a member of the Laira Green Shoots Community Forum, a parent group that runs events to raise money for the school and pre-school to enhance the childrens’ education. I have been a Trustee for Laira Green Trust for the last year and I am now Secretary. I enjoy having an active role in how the pre-school operates.
Mrs Katusha Edwards: Treasurer
My name is Katusha Edwards and I live in Laira. I have a child who attends Laira Green Primary School and another at Lipson Community College. I am passionate about ensuring that all children have the best possible start to their education.
I am a founder member and Treasurer of Laira Greenshoots Community Forum and a Trustee of the Laira Green Trust. I am also the Finance Administrator for Greenshoots Pre-school and Wraparound Care.
I can be contacted through the school reception on 660427.
Sharon Holloway
I am the Deputy Manager at D.E.L.L. Childrens Centre, which provides services and support to families with Children under 5 living in Deer Park, Efford, Lipson and Laira. I am passionate about ensuring all children are given the best possible start in life, and providing support and guidance to families when they need it, in a way they feel comfortable. Working with Laira Green Trust will enable the DELL Childrens Centre to build an even stronger link with the Preschool. With the aim of working together to provide outstanding services for local children and families.
Rebecca Farr Barron
I joined as a trustee in February 2014. I have a daughter who attended Greenshoots pre-school on 2012/2013 and who is now in reception at Laira Green Primary School. I also have a son who will start at Greenshoots in April 2014.
I hope to be able to offer a parents perspective but also to draw on experience gained from my Primary Education Degree to contribute to the trust being able to provide quality education for Greenshoots children.
