This week the Greenshoots children have been celebrating Diwali – the Hindu Festival of Light.
The children enjoyed creating their own rangoli patterns using coloured sand and pegs and boards.
Rama and Sita are remembered at Diwali and the children enjoyed hearing the story of how they defeated the evil 10 headed Demon Ravana!
The children greatly enjoyed making their own diya lamps out of clay and decorating them with glitter and sequins.
They also enjoyed colouring lots of Diwali related pictures to take home to show their families.
