Christmas Stay and Play

Thursday 11th December 2014

The Christmas Stay and Play Event was for parents or relatives to come and join in some festive activities. The children really enjoyed sharing their experiences with their loved ones. There were lots of fun activities to take part in, such as Christmas crafts and games. The children particularly enjoyed exploring the winter ice scene with winter animals such as penguins, reindeer and polar bears.

The best activity was making a melted snowman biscuit! We put a marshmallow on a rich tea biscuit and then covered it all with runny icing to look like it was melting! We then used icing pens to make a face on for our snowmen. The children ate their biscuits as a snack time treat.

The parents got a chance to talk to the staff and look at their children’s learning journeys. We received some lovely positive feedback on the afternoon so thank you for coming to support our event. There will be another stay and play session next term and we hope to hold it in the morning next time.
