Visit from the RNLI

25th February 2015
Today the Greenshoots children had a visit from Chris of the RNLI. He talked to the children all about being safe at the beach.
First we watched a video about being safe at the beach and it showed the lifeboat coming to rescue someone in trouble in the water.
Next we played a game looking at picture cards of things we might need if we went to the beach, such as a sun hat, sun cream, water, bucket and spade etc. There were also some pictures things that we wouldn’t
need at the beach to test us, such as a bike and a torch!
After we played the game we were able to dress up like lifeboat persons and lifeguards and we talked about how they help people.
We will all know how to keep safe at the beach when we visit one soon!
