Year of the Monkey
The children learnt how to say “Happy New Year” in Chinese – “Kung Hei Fat Choi.”
They enjoyed making lots of Chinese New Year crafts – such as mon
key handprint painting, monkey bookmarks, Chinese fans and blossom trees
The children drew and coloured Chinese New Year pictures and enjoyed exploring red play dough with Chinese New Year playdough mats.
We shared a special story all about the Chinese New Year called ‘Dragon Dance’ plus we learnt some rhymes featuring Dragons which you see at Chinese New Year. The children also had a go at doing their own dragon dance under some big scarves!
This was a lot of fun!
