Summer Newsletter

Welcome back everyone, we hope that you have all had a lovely Easter break and are looking forward to the summer term.

Topic this Term

This term the children will be learning all about ‘people who help them’ it would be really great if you or anyone you know, who are in the police, ambulance, fire service, or are a nurse, Dr., teacher, dentist, lollipop lady/man etc or any other profession that you can think of that would like to come and speak to the children please come and speak to Emma and Natalie so that this could be arranged.

Staff Promotion

We have recently promoted a member of staff, Laura is now a ‘Senior Early Years Practitioner’ within Greenshoots, she will still be carrying out all her normal daily duties, but at times will be required to lead the setting where a manager is not present. You can also speak with Laura if a manager is not available and she will do her best to assist you.

Thank you to those parents that have returned their tapestry forms, your accounts have now been set up an you should have been sent an activation email. Please log into this so that you can access your child’s account and see their learning journeys, all other parents please could you return your forms asap, so that those accounts can be set up. If you have lost your form we can give you another one.

We have been selected again by the CO-OP as their chosen charity to receive yet more funding. How amazing is that? So please register at the Pike Road CO-OP so that your purchases count and we will be able to receive more funding. We are about to receive £2600 from the CO-OP to develop our outdoor area.

Childcare Choices

Parents can pre register for childcare choices https://childcarechoices.gov.uk this supports parents with what government support is available.

Greenshoots Drop off and pick up times

At Greenshoots we do try and be as flexible as possible, however please note that our drop off times in the morning are between 0845 – 0900 and pick up is 11.45 ( unless staying for lunch) and in the afternoon drop off is 12:15. It is very disruptive to the children when there is repeated interruption, particularly in the afternoon, please could you try and drop your child as close to these timings as possible.

Trustees Wanted

Greenshoots is a charity run preschool and in order for us to remain sustainable and keep open we need to have Trustees to help run the preschool, we are in need of more Trustees and if you feel that you would be interested and can offer Greenshoots some time and commitment then please contact Emma or Katusha. Thank you for your continued support, if you have any questions or queries please just speak to Emma or Natalie
