In conjuction with the school, we have recently looked at how we can improve the safety of our children, not only at Greenshoots, but also the school children collectively.
It has been decided in order to adhere to safeguarding legislation, that anyone wanting to use the Greenshoots access (gate) now needs to be accompanied at all times by a member of staff.
This means there will be some changes to the way we operate from Monday July 3rd. For the morning session you will not be able to access the playground before 8.30am unless your child is attending breakfast club. Anyone who arrives after the gate has been locked will need to be escorted by a member of staff.
For those children that finish at 11.45am, the gate will not be opened until this time and will only be opened by a member of staff. When all children are ready to leave, everyone as a group will be escorted accordingly. If you have not arrived by 11.45 am you will not be able to access Greenshoots until 12.15pm when the afternoon children are given access. This will mean you will incurr a late charge. All afternoon children will need to be dropped off for 12.15.
If you need to collect your child outside of these times then please give us advance notice.
I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and I appreciate that it is a big change. However, in order for the Preschool and School to remain secure then this is the best way forward. If you have any questions or concerns, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
