Greenshoots – Newsletter – April/May 2019

We hope you enjoyed the lovely weather in the Easter half term.  We would like to welcome all of our new children and families to the setting and hope they will settle in well.   Your Tapestry account is now ready to sign up. If you have any problems setting it up or logging in please tell a member of the team.

We hope that those of you who have children starting school in September were allocated the school that you wished for.  If there were any problems please let us know as we may be able to help and advise you.

This term our theme is going to be about ‘Growing’.  The children will learn about growth over time and they will be planting seeds, measuring ours heights and learning about the life cycle of animals i.e. tadpoles.

As you may have heard, on the last day of term before we broke up we had our routine Ofsted inspection.

We are pleased to announce that the outcome of this inspection was OUTSTANDING.  We have attached the report here and we hope you enjoy reading it. We would like a photo to go into the local paper and we would like staff, parents and children to be involved. We will let you know when this photo will be taken. (This happened several weeks after half term).

We are feeling very proud of this outcome and hope you feel as proud as we do.

Natalie is enjoying her SEND award course and is gaining a lot of knowledge and information from it.  She is over half way through the course now and still has a special needs school to visit and an assessment at the setting from the course assessors.

*Our latest training on noodle now has been about promoting British Values within the setting and Autism.

*Our next training course on noodle now is food hygiene.

*Ellie has updated her first aid training and will be attending fire Marshall Training later in the month.

Spare Clothes

Please provide your child with spare clothes.

The pre-school is running low on spare clothes so if you have any that you don’t need any more any donations will be greatly received.

Thank you all for your continued support.
