On Tuesday 9th July, one of our managers, Natalie and Lisa, out Chair of Trustees, had the honour of attending an awards ceremony at Plymouth University. Here, 21 ladies who had participated in a pilot course qualified and gave a presentation to the rest of the training team, facilitators and managers and trustees of their respective settings.
We are delighted to announce that our very own manager, Natalie Landricombe, was one of the 21 and we can now say we have an Early Years SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co Ordinator), qualified to level 3!
A huge congratulations goes to Natalie, who has spent one day a week since February attending this training, meeting other SENDCOs and professionals and visiting special schools around the city. Natalie works incredibly hard on a daily basis to support all of our wonderful children at Greenshoots. Other professionals and SENDCOs that visited Greenshoots commented on the fantastic provision offered to the children and the great SEN work already being carried out.
Having this qualification in place means we are now able to better support children who have specific needs, in addition to the excellent knowledge and skills of our amazing team and fantastic SENDCo, Natalie. This has already opened many doors for Greenshoots and it’s children and helps to promote our inclusive, supportive ethos.
