Greenshoots Newsletter – July 2020

(A pdf version of this newsletter can be found here – July 2020 newsletter)

As we reach the end of term I thought I would give you an update on how things have been going at Greenshoots.

It has been great – the children have loved being back with their friends. We hoped to get as many children back as possible however with the current restrictions we were unable to do this. But I thank you all for your understanding and we apologise if you we were unable to accommodate your child at this time.

But good news for September – the Government Guidance has been changed so children no longer need to be in small consistent bubbles which means we can invite all children back the setting. Our risk assessments are on going and changing as and when needed. Although there will still be lots of measures in place we look forward to having everyone back. Of course we will keep up-to-date with guidance and let you know of changes, if any, for the local area.

This term we have 25 children who are moving on to big school. We would like to wish those children all the best in their new adventure and we will miss them all very much at Greenshoots. GOODBYE

We are pleased to announce that Sammie has given birth to a healthy little girl Maia-Rose. Mum and baby are both doing well.

If your child is returning or starting at Greenshoots in September we will keep you updated on sessions and procedures. I will contact you via email over the Summer so be sure to keep an eye out for updates. We have been successful in recruiting 2 new bank members of staff and we would like to welcome Philippine and Hannah to the team.

I’m sure you will join me in thanking all of the staff and trustees of Greenshoots. It has been a difficult time for everyone but the support we have all given each other has been amazing.
