Romanian International links.
Greenshoots are proud to have international links with a Nursery in Romania. Our Deputy Manager Claudia teaches the children how to count in Romanian and the children can also say some phrases.
Celebrating Mărțișor
Mărțișor is an old tradition celebrated all over Romania every year, on March 1st. The name Mărțișor is a diminutive of March (Martie in Romanian). It is believed that the person who wears the red and white string would enjoy a prosperous and healthy year.
The Romanian Nursery have sent us some lovely pictures to us, celebrating Martisor – The celebration of Spring- Take a look at the lovely pictures they have sent us. The children loved receiving post and loved looking at the pictures.

When Pilgrim Pete came to Greenshoots. What fun we had taking penalties against Pilgrim Pete and kicking the ball to him. It was great to meet him in one of our weekly Football sessions with Plymouth Argyle Community Trust.

Lord Mayor Visit
The Lord Mayor came to visit Greenshoots on the 8th December 2022. She played games with the children and learnt all about the Early Years. She watched the children in their Football session and met some parents. She listened to the children singing the christmas songs they have been learning. It was a positive experience and it was enjoyed by all involved.

When Greenshoots visit the allotment. Proud of our ECO school’s Green Flag achievement.

A Massive Well Done!
Greenshoots is really proud to announce that 4 of our amazing staff have reached the milestone of 10 years service with the preschool!
Diane, Katusha, Natalie (and Hayley who couldn’t make it) were given a token of our appreciation by the trust to recognise their brilliant dedication to the care, growth and protection of the preschool children during their time with us.
We don’t want them to feel old….but some of the children they looked after when they started are now teenagers!
Well done and congratulations to them all!
