Barnardo’s have made us aware of an exciting event which coincides with the wealth of Mayflower 400 events next year. Set that calendar reminder now!
As part of the Mayflower 400 – Barnardo’s in partnership with the Plymouth Argyle Community Trust and Mayflower 400 team are planning a large fun day and sponsored toddle at Central Park on the 30th of May 2020
They are welcoming partner agencies attending to promote their services and offer an activity and hope to make this an action packed event. They would love for everyone to get involved so spread the news far and wide!

Welcome back to Greenshoots. We hope you all had a lovely summer holiday. We have several new children who are joining us this term and we welcome them and their families.
This term we will be focusing on Personal, Social and Emotional Development with a range of activities which will help children to develop their confidence and self-esteem skills. We have a hair dressers role play area this term and there will be lots of small world play opportunities.
Training:
Natalie and Sammie updated their first aid training in the summer holidays. This term the staff will undertake the online ‘Noodle-Now’ course which is based on Physical Development.
Staffing
Kerry has now gone on maternity leave and we wish her all the best for the
future.
Natalie is going to be the Manager and Ellie is the Deputy Manager whilst Kerry is on maternity leave. Sammie is now going to take on the role of the Deputy SENDCO.
Students
Jodie continues to work towards her level 3 in childcare and her placement days are Wednesday and Thursday. We also have Charlotte who is just starting her level 3 who’s placement days are also Wednesday and Thursday.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT RECALL NOTICE – Mothercare 2.5 tog grey star sleep bag – Single and two-pack
Mothercare is undertaking a voluntary recall of 2.5 tog grey star sleep bag due to a labelling error. The care label in some of the products incorrectly states this product is a 1 tog.
These sleep bags were sold in Mothercare stores and online from May 2019. They are asking customers who purchased these sleep bags to check if your product is affected, please check the back of the care label at the bottom for the style number as per the image below.

Please also check the care label on both the plain grey and grey star sleep bag, If the label states 2.5 tog the product is not affected. If the care label states 1 tog please stop using the product with immediate effect and return the product to a Mothercare store for a full refund.
The tog rating can be found on the care label under the words BS8510:2009 as per the above image.
